NITIM International Graduate Winter School 2016

Last month the 2016 ICE/ITMC was held in Trondheim Norway supported by your IEEE TEMS. More news on that will follow in a separate article. Co-located with the 2016 ICE/ITMC was the NITIM Intertnational Graduate Summer School. And while we are just entering the summer holidays, I did not want to refrain from pointing out to the next Winter School edition. Do notice the deadline of July 25th.

NITIM is proud to announce its 2016 Winter School (September 20th – 22nd, 2016) in The Hague, Netherlands. With this call, we invite Ph.D. candidates to submit proposals for evaluation and an opportunity to participate in the Winter School. For those who have just started their PhD program, we look forward to receiving a research proposal. For those in their late stage of their PhD, you are encouraged to submit a relevant piece for your dissertation (a paper, an overview, or a chapter of your PhD thesis).

The admission to the school will be based on the review of an extended abstract (https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BwUnCCShCOT7WEFlYTFPWVV6eGc). For specific information about which research topics are in the scope of the NiTiM Community, please visit http://www.nitim.org/Research). The deadline for submission of the Extended Abstract is July 25th (midnight CEST). Late submissions will be considered, but risk to be rejected in case of high demand.

The full proposal (or paper), which will form the basis of the discussion and feedback at the Winter School, is due by for review by August 21st.

The NITIM Schools facilitate the development of doctoral research in the interdisciplinary field of Networks, Information, Technology and Innovation Management, bringing together Ph.D. candidates and faculty members in a focused, in-depth, and constructive discussion of the candidates’ research work.

In addition to the discussion of the PhD candidates’ work, the 2016 NITIM Winter school offers the participation to an Employment Event and the NITIM Conference.
