Michael Condry is the current president of TEMS, retired from Intel as division CTO, formally Sun, University of Illinois, AT&T Bell Labs and Princeton University.

Currently:

Michael Condry is IEEE TEMS President 2017-2019 and senior AdCom for IEEE IES. He has been an IEEE member for more than 27 years.

In fact, Michael is a Senior IEEE Member, Senior AdCom for IES, Chair IES Industry Forum Conference Series, Industry Editor of IES Magazine. He created the IEEE Industry Summit program. Michael was Section Vice Chair for 2015 IEEE Santa Clara Valley

On 2015, Michael retired from Intel Global Ecosystem Development Division, where he worked as CTO for 15 yearsHe was the head of technology innovation with Ecosystem partners, lead for staff technical development. Oversee security programs and user experience technology evolution. Broad skills addressing multiple technical areas including network technology, security technologies, industrial electronics, and innovation with ecosystem partners. Headed up technical staff development and customer oriented BOM reduction program; resulted in team receiving the distinguished Intel Quality Award.

Moreover, Michael was the IEEE Industry Forum Chair for 33 years, director of Standards for Sun Microsystems from 1992 to 2000, Bell Labs architect for AT&T for 11 years

Joining TEMS: The Why, How and What

Why joining TEMS? The challenges of moving concept to product are rarely understood by young professional and frequently not sufficiently understood even by senior engineers. This understanding is needed for career advancement either on a management or technical path.  TEMS is all about this problem space.

How does joining TEMS add value to member’s profession? Network with colleagues with similar skills, mentor younger ones for advancement and learn from more successful ones.

What motivates Michael Condry to join TEMS? To be engaged in the society programs, particularly conferences and technical activities

Michael Condry’s contribution to the society is summarized in the reorganization of the original TEMS to one aligning to today’s technical management issues.
